General
How do we get started?
Simply get in touch. Tell me a little about yourselves, your plans and what you’re looking for, and we’ll take it from there.
How do I know you are the right photographer for me?
Choosing a photographer is about more than just loving their images, it’s about finding someone whose style, personality and approach feel right for you.
If you’re drawn to natural, emotional and editorial photography, we might be a great fit. But to be sure, before your special day, we can meet in person or online to see if the chemistry fits and then we can discuss necessary wedding details.
What makes your photography different?
My background in fashion and editorial photography has shaped the way I see light, composition and details, while my approach to weddings and families remains relaxed and authentic. I want your photographs to look beautiful, but more importantly, I want them to feel like you.
How far do you travel?
I’m based in Ratingen and photograph throughout Düsseldorf, Cologne, Essen, NRW and beyond.
Do you work in English?
Absolutely. I’m happy to communicate in both English and German.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, I offer vouchers, just use my contact form to order.
How would you describe your photography style?
Natural, emotional and editorial. I combine documentary moments with gentle direction when needed.
Are the photographs professionally edited?
Yes. Every image in your final gallery is carefully selected and professionally edited to create a consistent look and feel.
How long does it take to receive our photographs?
My editing and delivery times vary depending on the type of photography and the season. I’ll always give you an estimated delivery time when you book.
How will we receive our photographs?
Your finished photographs will be delivered through a private online gallery, where you can view and download your images.
How long are our photographs stored?
I keep your images safely backed up for 12 Months after delivery. However, I always recommend keeping your own backup of your final gallery.

How do we secure our wedding date?
Your date is officially reserved once the contract has been signed and the required booking fee has been received.
How far in advance should we book our wedding photographer?
Popular wedding dates can book up quickly, especially during the spring and summer months. I recommend getting in touch around 12–18 months in advance if possible. But if your wedding is sooner, don’t hesitate to ask. I may still have your date available.
Can we meet before booking?
Absolutely. I believe choosing a wedding photographer is very personal, so getting to know each other before booking is important to me. We can meet in person or online, however you prefer.
Can you photograph cultural or multicultural weddings?
Absolutely. I love documenting different traditions, cultures and celebrations and am happy to learn about anything that is particularly meaningful to you. I am fluent in English, German and Afrikaans, so I hope to be able to communicate with many international couples and guests
What happens if you become ill or cannot photograph our wedding?
Your wedding is important to me, and I have contingency plans in place for unexpected situations. In the unlikely event that I’m unable to attend, I’ll do my best to arrange a trusted professional photographer to cover your day.
Do you travel for weddings?
Yes! I’m based near Düsseldorf and photograph weddings throughout Germany and internationally. Travel fees may apply depending on the location.
How many photographs will we receive?
Every wedding is different, so the number of images varies depending on the length and flow of your day. As a general guide, you can expect around 50–70 fully edited photographs per hour of coverage.
Can we request specific photographs?
Definitely. If there are particular people, details or moments that are especially important to you, let me know before the wedding. I’ll make sure they’re on my radar.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement sessions are a lovely way to spend some relaxed time together before the wedding and get comfortable in front of my camera. They also give us a chance to get to know each other before the big day.
How long do you keep our wedding photos?
Your wedding gallery will be available online for 6 months after delivery, giving you plenty of time to view, download and share your images.
For your peace of mind, I keep a backup of your wedding photographs for 12 months after the final gallery has been delivered. After this period, the photographs may be permanently deleted from my storage systems.
Family / Couple / Baby / Maternity Photography
Do you offer sessions outdoors?
Yes. Shootings can take place outdoors, at your home or at a location that is meaningful to you.
What should we wear for our session?
Choose outfits that make you feel comfortable. This could be anything from cosy textured knits, denim, soft pastels, neutral/earthy tones, or even primary complementary colours.
I’d personally avoid large logos, busy patterns and smart watches, as they can be distracting. Don’t worry about having perfectly coordinated outfits. This session is about you and your family. And if you’re unsure, I’m always happy to help with outfit ideas before your session.
Do we need to prepare anything before the session?
Not much! Make sure everyone has eaten and, if possible, had a good rest. Bring anything your children might need during the session, such as snacks, water or a favourite comfort item.
What if my child doesn’t want to cooperate?
Don’t worry, they don’t have to. I don’t expect children to sit still, smile on command or behave perfectly. I’ll follow their lead and give them time to warm up. Some of the most beautiful photographs happen when children are simply being themselves.
Can we bring our dog?
Of course! Pets are part of the family too.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we can either reschedule or discuss an alternative location, depending on the type of session.
Can we book a session as a gift?
Yes! Photography sessions make a lovely gift for birthdays, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Christmas or simply because.
When is the best time for a newborn session?
Ideally, newborn sessions take place within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are often sleepier and naturally curl up into those sweet newborn poses. But there’s no need to worry if your baby is a little older. Beautiful, natural photographs can be created at any stage. My sessions are relaxed with plenty of time for cuddles, feeding and little breaks.
